First Transnational Project Meeting
The Eco-Families project officially began with its online Kick-Off Meeting (KOM), marking the start of an exciting Erasmus+ journey dedicated to helping families adopt greener habits and live more sustainably. Although the meeting was held virtually, the spirit of collaboration and commitment was strong among all partners.
During the Kick-off Meeting, the consortium focused on establishing a clear foundation for the project. Partners took the time to align on goals, responsibilities, and management processes to ensure smooth implementation across the different work packages. It was also the moment where the first project milestones were agreed upon, including the creation of the EU Virtual Map Tool, a resource that will highlight eco-friendly initiatives and inspire families across Europe.
Another important part of the discussion was dissemination. Partners worked together to agree on strategies to share project activities and results with families, educators, and wider communities. This will ensure that the tools and resources developed throughout the project reach as many households as possible and support real change in daily family life.
The meeting was not only about planning, but also about vision. Partners exchanged ideas about how to make sustainability engaging for families and children, discussing upcoming tools such as the Eco-Living Mobile App and the Eco-Scavenger Hunt with QR codes. These outputs will play a key role in bringing environmental education into households in an accessible and fun way.
